Nice! The looker from COYOTE UGLY is about to stalked by a butchering bear!

Deadline has it that the lovely Piper Parabo (pictured) is set to join the cast of RED MACHINE, which already includes the great Billy Bob Thornton, Thomas Jane and James Marsden. Not sure if this is a spoiler or what, but Perabo will play a dead photographer who is engaged with Beckett (Jane) who she met during the Iraq War.

Okay, so maybe no attacks for Piper. Oh well!

With SAW V director David Hackl helming, RED MACHINE centers around two estranged brothers (Marsden, Jane) who reconcile on a camping trip with their girlfriends. Once in the remote wilderness, however, things go horribly awry when they are attacked and relentlessly stalked by a horrifying grizzly bear — the Red Machine. Thornton will play a legendary bear expert and hunter.

I’m all about this one here. You needn’t look any further than our Top Ten last week to know how much I love THE EDGE, and though I’ve yet to see THE GREY, if Hackl can wring the quality of those two flicks…we’re all going to be blessed (having the word hack in your name doesn’t exactly inspire confidence though does it). Seriously, how can you fuck up this cast? Especially if the script was good enough to attract such actors to begin with? My guess is RED MACHINE will kick all kinds of ass!

What do you think?
