Just last night came word that Keiran Culkin had signed on to co-star with Michael Cera in SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD. Now today we get another piece of casting. Aubrey Plaza has also signed on to the film where she’ll play Julie, a record store employee vying for Scott Pilgrim’s attention (Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Ramona would be the other part of the love triangle). Plaza is currently shooting FUNNY PEOPLE for Judd Apatow where she plays a Jeneane Garafolo-esque comedian who’s also the girlfriend of Seth Rogen’s character. She also recently signed on to star in the upcoming untitled Amy Poehler sitcom for NBC that is supposedly not a spinoff of “The Office” (but certainly sounds like a spinoff of “The Office”). Filming on SCOTT PILGRIM, which will be directed by Edgar Wright, is expected to begin this spring.
