In order to keep us all entertained as we wait for more STAR WARS movies to hit theaters on an annual basis, Disney is moving forward with a short animated series titled LEGO STAR WARS: THE RESISTANCE RISES that will feature characters from THE FORCE AWAKENS and serve as a humorous prequel of side adventures leading up to EPISODE VIII.
The first episode in the series “Poe To The Rescue” premiered Monday night on Disney XD, but, thanks to the widespread reach of the internet, has now been released online for everyone’s entertainment. In it, Admiral Ackbar is being held captive by the First Order, but, with the help of BB-8 and C-3PO, the Resistance’s best pilot Poe Dameron takes the mission to make a rescue.
