Steven Soderbergh, who has always been known to cast untrained actors in his films, has cast porn star Sasha Grey to star in his next film THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE. The film will star Grey as a high-priced call girl who commands big money to act as a girlfriend to her wealthy clientele. Grey began working in the porno business at the age of 18 and while filming her very first scene, shocked a co-star by asking to be punched in the stomach while she performed oral sex (WOW). Grey has gone on to win the Best Three Way Sex Scene, Best Group Scene and Female Performer of the Year at the AVN awards. Unlike most porn stars she mentions Jean-Luc Godard and David Bowie and her biggest influences. GIRLFRIEND was written by ROUNDERS and OCEAN’S 13 writers Brian Koppelman and David Levien. Soderbergh is currently filming the indie flick in New York City and will be released next year by Magnolia Pictures.
