For some reason, we haven’t heard pretty much anything about the ensemble comedy WOMEN IN TROUBLE where Carla Gugino plays porn star Elektra Luxx in a story covering a day in the life of her and nine other women. And as if that wasn’t enough to start an internet feeding frenzy, the film also stars hotties Emmanuelle Chriqui, Adrianne Palicki, Marley Shelton, and Connie Britton. How we could have missed this one is damn near inexcusable but the writer/director of the film, Sebastian Gutierrez, has decided to make a sequel, titled ELEKTRA LUXX, and Gugino and most of the rest of the cast, hotties included, have agreed to reprise their roles, so you bet your shiny ass we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one. The film will pick up a month later and again follow them throughout the course of one day. The original has yet to find distribution but there’s gotta be something worth watching there if a sequel’s already on the way. Then again, maybe not.
