Possibly NSFW Shame poster banned in Hungary

Might not want to scroll down further if you’re at work or school, as a warning.

SHAME’s been a controversial film ever since its first public screening at the Venice International Film Festival last year, when people first saw Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan both appear fully nude as sex-addicted siblings. Fox Searchlight picked up the film and decided to release it as-is, which earned them an NC-17 from the MPAA, and they managed to turn it into a success despite the rating.

Indeed the film has been loved by nearly everyone who has seen it and when people talk about Oscar snubs, Fassbender’s name is one of the first to come up. The sexual nature of the film will always make it controversial, though, but the people behind the film don’t really mind.

Case in point, Fox Searchlight has just released the below poster which Hungary decided was too much for them, and they’ve refused to release it. Usually I’m all against censorship but in this case- I can see their point. I mean, it’s less subtle than that poster for HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2!
