Poster and trailer debut for Eytan Rockaway’s The Abandoned

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

January 8, 2016 is the date when IFC Films will be releasing director Eytan Rockaway's THE ABANDONED (previously known as THE CONFINES) in theatres and on VOD, and to get us prepared for what promises to be a "harrowing thrill ride" they have released a trailer online as well as a poster (via our friends over at Bloody-Disgusting.)

Rockaway's feature directorial debut, THE ABANDONED stars Louisa Krause and Jason Patric and tells the following story:

Desperate to get her life back on track, the unstable Streak takes a job as a security guard, working the graveyard shift at a once upscale, now abandoned apartment complex. But on her first night on duty, she discovers a horrifying presence lurking deep within the bowels of the decaying building. With her nerves already on edge, Streak must confront demons both real and imagined as she struggles to keep a grip on her sanity.

The set-up is interesting, and judging from the trailer it does look like this one will be providing some solid thrills. Will you be watching it next month?
