Richard Linklater's spiritual sequel to DAZED AND CONFUSED follows a group of college baseball players as they navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood. Sounds right up Linklater's alley, and with an ensemble cast of mostly no-names, one wonders if we'll see a lot of these faces down the road! I'm getting ahead of myself, though. The first trailer for this piece is set to hit tomorrow, and given how little we've seen from a movie that hits in 4 months' time, I'm pretty excited to check it out! Linklater doesn't always knock it out of the park for me, but when he does, it's usually a grand slam. I love DAZED and thought BOYHOOD was fantastic, so it's safe to say that expectations are high for this pseudo-sequel!
