Potential Conan casting ranging from Stargate to Twilight

No, we’re not talking about who’s going to play Conan O’Brien in the upcoming film adaptation of LATE NIGHT DISASTER: A STORY OF NETWORK EXECUTIVE ASSCLOWNS, rather this is Conan the Barbarian, and now there appears to be a shortlist as to who might be cast as the sword-swinger himself.

There are three lead contenders at the moment, two are known, and one is a mystery that promises to be an “established actor.” The others are Stargate Atlantis’ Jason Momoa and Kellan Lutz from TWILIGHT. You know, the big one who never says anything. As you can see from the pictures, each has quite a different look than the other, but both have “muscles” in common, as you would expect.

I suppose it depends how faithful you want Conan to look to previous incarnations. I think Momoa clearly has “barbarian” written all over him, and though Kellen is close to the traditional complexion and hair color, I can’t really say the same for him. As for this mysterious third party, I guess we can only speculate at this point, but I’m just crossing my fingers it’s not a professional wrestler.
