Jenna Busch from a little site called JoBlo.com recently had a chat with director Alex Proyas about KNOWING, his upcoming thriller starring Nic “What bizarre hairpiece will I wear this time?” Cage. While that chat has been “embargoed” as the saying goes, we’ve got a sneak peek at a few of the topics they touch upon, the most intriguing being THE CROW.

As you probably know, THE CROW is getting the old remake treatment, courtesy of BLADE director Stephen Norrington. Ms. Busch asked Proyas, psychiatrist-like, how this makes him feel. Naturally, the director is more than a little dubious…

“I think it’s kind of premature, really,” says Proyas. “It’s seems like THE CROW is only like 15 years old maybe. It’s seems, early. (laughs) I always thought that remakes, you shouldn’t be given license to remake something for at least 25 years. I don’t know. It just seems kind of odd to me. Just re-release the original movie.”

Yeah, no shit! Next thing you know, they’ll be remaking I, ROBOT.

Proyas went on to speak about his future projects, including DRACULA YEAR ZERO. To read all about it, head on over HERE.
