Pussy Island: Christian Slater, Alia Shawkat, Geena Davis & 8 more join Zoë Kravitz thriller

Zoë Kravitz is making her feature directorial debut with the provocatively titled thriller Pussy Island, which is currently in production in Mexico. We’ve previously heard that Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), Naomi Ackie (The End of the F***ing World), and Simon Rex (Red Rocket) would be starring in the film, and now Deadline has added eleven more names to the list of known cast members. They are Christian Slater (Heathers), Alia Shawkat (Search Party), Geena Davis (The Long Kiss Goodnight), Adria Arjona (Morbius), Haley Joel Osment (Tusk), Liz Caribel Sierra (God’s Time), Levon Hawke (The Crowded Room), Trew Mullen (Sunny Family Cult), Saul Williams (Akilla’s Escape), Chris Costa (People You Know), and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks).

Written by Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum, the film will follow

Frida (Ackie), a young, clever, Los Angeles cocktail waitress who has her eyes set on the prize: philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). When she skillfully maneuvers her way into King’s inner circle and ultimately an intimate gathering on his private island, she is ready for a journey of a lifetime. Despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Frida can sense that there’s more to this island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on. Something terrifying.

We know that Rex is playing Slater’s chef, trainer, and oldest friend, Cody. Information on the characters the new cast members will be playing has not been revealed.

Pussy Island is being produced by Kravitz, Bruce Cohen, Tiffany Persons, and Tatum’s company Free Association. Garret Levitz is overseeing the project for Free Association.

The movie sounds interesting and Kravitz has definitely assembled a good cast for it, so I look forward to seeing how Pussy Island is going to turn out. Are you interested in this one? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
