Thanks to a little heads up from our brothers in horror over at Arrow in the Head, we have our first look at DREAM HOUSE.
To start us off, here is the synopsis for the film:
“A couple (Craig and Weisz) relocates their family to a quaint New England town. But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Naomi Watts), a neighbor who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will’s dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.”
So, it’s sort of like THE AMITYVILLE HORROR? To help the family, Watts’ character will bring them a mysterious tape that causes them all to die in 7 days. It’s a story within a story within a story. Obviously that’s not true but with the actors involved it sounds like it will be an interesting film. This comes from director Jim Sheridan (BROTHERS) and writer David Loucka (THE DREAM TEAM). It’s also rumored that the reason Weisz/Aronofsky divorce had something to do with Craig. Well, I mean, he is Bond after all…
