Rambo 4 title shuffle

JoBloJoBlo

Rambo 4 Unbeknownst to those of us not intently following the development of JOHN RAMBO, Sylvester Stallone’s latest peak into the continuing adventures of the titular mass terrorist annihilator, the film’s title was apparently changed to the silly sounding RAMBO: TO HELL AND BACK, as per Lionsgate’s official site (though it’s already been changed back).

AICN talkback hellfire, however, prompted Stallone to place a call to AICN grand poobah Harry Knowles and explain the name change. Said the sexagenarian action star: “I just was thinking that the title JOHN RAMBO was derivative of ROCKY BALBOA and might give people the idea that this is the last Rambo film, and I don’t necessarily feel that it will be. He’s not an athlete, there’s no reason he can’t continue onto another adventure. Like John Wayne with THE SEARCHERS.

Say whaaa, daddio? There’s more RAMBO to come? While everyone take a little while to process that one, rest assured that by the end of the conversation Stallone had realized a name change was about as useless as a Lindsay Lohan stint in rehab. It’s JOHN RAMBO all the way, baby. The film, in which Rambo brutally decimates Burmese mercenaries who attack Christian missionaries, opens January 25th.
