There’s only one thing that flashy, sometimes batshit crazy blockbuster director Brett Ratner needs a fresh supply of on a movie set: hot ass tail, preferably of the virginal variety. If there aren’t enough hottie extras he can bang on set, he’ll take his master mindless blockbuster crafting elsewhere, thank you very much. Well, it seems the producers behind the upcoming ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK remake have fulfilled this crucial clause in his contract as they’re apparently, according to the IESB, looking to him to direct Gerard Butler’s upcoming attempt to perform the titular feat. Considering the pure, unadulterated hate that Ratner inspires, especially for properties like this considered sacred by fans, this probably won’t sit too well with a lot of people. So, please, feel free to sound off.
