REC 3 site open

Looks like [REC] 2 is a hit in every regard. The sequel to the ultra-scary [REC] opened last week in Spain, making about $3.3 million (U.S. dollars) off 360 prints in its first three days – which is a whole lotta dough. It also opened the SITGES Film Festival around the same time, and was incredibly well-received, matching its success at the Toronto Film Fest (read our review HERE).

Now, I don’t know how [REC] 2 ends, but I’m guessing the door is left open – at least a crack – for a sequel, because if THIS site is any indication, we’ll be getting a [REC] 3 soon enough. This is apparently the film’s official site, and all it says is, well, “SOON”.

As for part 2, there’s still no word on a U.S. release. I wish it could be available for Halloween, but that’s just me dreamin’ a little dream. For a taste though, hit up its official site, which certainly provides some eeriness on its own.
