Resident Evil Village unleashes new, monster-filled trailer!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Not going to lie, while the Resident Evil series has definitely dabbled in monsters that weren't strictly zombies before (like Lickers, giant alligators, evil plants, etc.), it still somehow feels weird that now with Resident Evil Village, the series seems to be going full supernatural with shit like vampires, werewolves, witches, and such (unless – like the other aforementioned monsters – it turns out they're connected to mad science gone awry or Umbrella somehow).

In any case, I'm into it, and actually looking forward to the new installment, as it's a continuation of the awesome first-person Resident Evil 7, and – regardless – I think going in a different direction is the right choice to make. Let's just hope Capcom can pull it off. However, if the most recent trailer they put out is any indication – which you can watch at the top of the article – it seems like they're currently on the right track!

Meanwhile, Resident Evil Village will be available on PS5, PS4, XBSX, XB1, and PC May 7th, 2021!

But what do you guys think? You enjoying the new direction the series is taking? Either way, sound off below!
