Nope…not Brian Austin Green, it’s Logan Marshall-Green!

That’s right y’all, the “24” and “Dark Blue” star Logan Marshall-Green (above) has just won a role in Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS. Better yet, he’s tapped for a key romantic lead in the Gothic space horror-show!

Word comes from Deadline, who claims Green will portray Holloway, a crewman on the spaceship who doubles as Noomi Rapace’s love interest.

Now, Green has steadily been transitioning from TV to film, having recently been seen in DEVIL for John Dowdle and BROOKLYN’S FINEST for Antoine Fuqua. Working for Ridley Scott can only up the dude’s stock, don’t you think?!?

As you know, Green joins not only Rapace, but Charlize Theron (below), Michael Fassbender, Idris Alba, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris and Katie Dickie.

By the way, today we had someone give us a heads up to the fact that, in a foreign interview back in December, Ridley Scott admitted part of PROMETHEUS takes place a million years in the past…presumably showing the origin story of the space jockeys. Sounding cool to you or what?

PROMETHEUS orbits the globe June 8th, 2012.
