Risky click of the day: Trailers for the family films Nine Lives and Trolls

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

If you were eagerly anticipating the day Kevin Spacey would personify the most evil of household pets, then that wait will end on August 5th. Tom Brand (Spacey) is a daredevil billionaire at the top of his game. His daughter’s 11th birthday is here and she wants a cat. Tom hates cats, but he is without a gift and time is running out. His GPS directs him to a mystical pet store brimming with odd and exotic cats- where the store’s eccentric owner- Felix Perkins (Christopher Walken), presents him with a majestic tomcat, named Mr. Fuzzypants. En route to his daughter’s party, Tom has a terrible accident. When he regains consciousness he discovers that somehow, he has become trapped inside the body of the cat. To say any more would spoil the rich tapestry of story and character development that is NINE LIVES, so here’s the trailer.

If that wasn’t enough family entertainment for ya, we also have the first trailer for TROLLS. Yes, those…things with the hair are back in a DreamWorks Animation picture starring Anna Kendrick as Poppy, the optimistic leader of the Trolls, and her polar opposite, Branch, played by Justin Timberlake. Together, this unlikely pair of Trolls must embark on an adventure that takes them far beyond the only world they’ve ever known. TROLLS also stars Gwen Stefani, James Corden, Russell Brand, Icona Pop, Ron Funches and Kunal Nayaar. That’s right. This is happening. Where is your God now?

TROLLS will open in theaters on November 4, 2016.
