Joining the likes of Bradley Cooper and recently announced Elizabeth Banks, legendary thesp Bobby D will be jumping into THE DARK FIELDS, a suspense thriller from filmmaker Neil Burger (THE LUCKY ONES, THE ILLUSIONIST)
According to Variety, THE DARK FIELDS “centers on a downandout Gotham writer (Cooper) who comes into possession of a designer drug that gives him newfound intelligence and success.” De Niro will play a “brilliant financial mogul” who chases down Cooper’s character. The story, penned by Leslie Dixon (THE HEARTBREAK KID, THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR, MRS. DOUBTFIRE) is based on the novel by Alan Glynn.
Filming on THE DARK FIELDS is set to commence in Philly this May. De Niro’s upcoming films include LITTLE FOCKERS (please no), indie flick STONE (reuniting with Ed Norton), and MACHETE (yes please).
