The 2011 Comic Con kicks off a week from tomorrow, so it’s no wonder why we’ve inundated with story after story about the annual beachfront gala. Today’s no exception, as we’re now learning Robert Hall’s vicious slasher joint CHROMESKULL 2: LAID TO REST will be invading the sunny shore of San Diega. Peep the details…

ChromeSkull – the technologically-savvy homicidal maniac that made his first big “slash” in 2009’s cult phenomenon Laid To Rest – will have a major presence at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con to unveil CHROMESKULL: LAID TO REST 2 and “meat” with his fans! On Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22nd , the Fangoria Magazine booth will host a CHROMESKULL: LAID TO REST 2 poster signing with the filmmakers and stars.

Then, on Friday, July 22nd, CHROMESKULL will have its world premiere at the Gaslamp 15 Cinemas, as well as a Q&A with the stars and filmmakers moderated by DreadCentral.com’s own Steve “Uncle Creepy” Barton.

The maniac in the metal mask returns—and this time he’s not alone. After his no so pleasant episode with the girl with no name, ChromeSkull has to rely on his assistant Preston, (Brian Austin Green) to take care of business. Having learned from the master, he slashes his way from one bloody mess to another. Not to be outdone, ChromeSkull resurges himself with a massacre of his own that is nothing short of “jaw dropping insanity!”

Thomas Dekker, Owain Yeoman, Brian Austin Green, Danielle Harris (below), Mimi Michaels, Gail O’Grady, Nick Principie and Johnathon Schaech all star in the film, many of which will be in attendance at the Con.
