SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR will finally be released in August, nine years after the first one opened back in 2005. In an interview on SiriusXM's "Ron and Fez Show," director Robert Rodriguez says he and Frank Miller have finished post-production work on the sequel, but he also revealed Miller is interested in making SIN CITY 3.

“Yeah—the second Sin City– I was just here with Frank Miller last night and we were watching it last night. [We] finished the cut, effects are being done, it will come out in August. He [Miller] watched Part 2—he watched it last night with me and then at the end he said, he didn’t have any comments, he was very happy with it. And he said, now about part three…. Started telling me how he’s going to do part three. So he’s already there on part three.”

Frank Miller might already have some ideas for a third movie, however a lot is going to depend on fan reaction to SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, and how well it performs at the box office. And if it has taken them this long to make the sequel. how long will we have to wait for SIN CITY 3?

Robert Rodriguez has been pretty hit-or-miss in recent years in my opinion, but I'm fairly confident SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR will be just as fantastic as the first movie. I'm game for SIN CITY 3, and if it does happen, hopefully we won't have to wait another nine years.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR starring Josh Brolin, Eva Green, Mickey Rourke, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Julia Garner, Rosario Dawson, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, and Lady Gaga will be released on August 22nd, 2014.
