For those itching to see some footage from Nimrod Antal’s PREDATORS, prepare to itch no more, as according to our evil stepfather site JoBlo.com, producer Robert Rodriguez is bringing some footage from the film to this year’s SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX!

Not a trailer or the full film, but finished scenes straight from the editing bay in Austin where the film is being cut together. And what’s even better? The footage will be shown after the premiere of KICK-ASS, followed by a Q&A session with the directorl. Talk about the ultimate treat for SXSW badge holders!

The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.

The film sounds awesome, and here’s to hoping the footage lives up to the hype, and that said footage makes its way to the internet shortly thereafter, as I can’t wait to see what Rodriguez and company have in store for us with this one.
