Roberts turns Evil

JoBloJoBlo

Julia Roberts is rather choosy about her projects lately. Perhaps it’s her twins. Perhaps it was OCEAN’S 12. But we don’t get many Julia Roberts movies anymore. The actress has decided to grace us with her on-screen presence once more though with an upcoming movie based on the life of slain conservationist Joan Root. Based on the Vanity Fair article “A Flowering Evil,” the film will follow Root’s career as a documentarian (she was nominated for an Academy Award in 1978) and later as a wildlife conservationist. She was murdered in her home by assailants with AK-47s. Roberts will star in and produce the film for London-based Working Title Pictures who she worked with on NOTTING HILL. David Magee (FINDING NEVERLAND) is writing the script for Roberts. The actress can be seen next in CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR with Tom Hanks and the drama FIREFLIES IN THE GARDEN. Welcome back, Jules.
