RoboCop remake releases new character images; new trailer this week

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

The upcoming remake of ROBOCOP has just dropped four new character images that show off a clutch of key players, including Joel Kinnaman's titular hero, Samuel L. Jackson's flamboyant TV host Pat Novak, and Gary Oldman's put-upon scientist, Dr. Dennett Norton. We also get our first glimpse at Jennifer Ehle as Liz Kline and Jackie Earle Haley as Maddox. Check 'em out below.

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

That pic of Samuel L. Jackson as Pat Novak looks like Jackson is doing his best Mitt Romney impression, no?

Anyways, we will also be getting a new trailer for ROBOCOP later this week, as teased by the below image of Oldman as Dennett Norton.

Ok…NOW its your move, creep. Will you be seeing this ROBOCOP remake in February or is this one you'll be skipping entirely? Sound off below!
