Rodrigo Cortes’ thriller Red Lights picks up posters and a distributor

Rodrigo Cortes (BURIED) has a film at Sundance right now called RED LIGHTS that has caused a fair amount of dissension and discussion in regards to whether it’s actually any good or not.  The general consensus seems to be that it works right up until the ending, which then proceeds to f*ck your mind from left field. And now, good or not, mind f*ck ending or not, Millenium Films (STONE, DRIVE ANGRY, THE MECHANIC) has stepped up to distribute the film.

On a side note: when our own Chris Bumbray saw the film recently he rather enjoyed himself, crazy ending included.  So there’s that.  Check out his review here.

Staring Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro, Toby Jones, and Elizabeth Olsen, the thriller deals with “two investigators of alleged supernatural phenomena — played by Murphy and Weaver — who appear to meet their match in a blind healer named Simon Silver played by De Niro.”  According to Cortés, the movie is more specifically about “how the brain does not give a true picture of reality.”
