Roswell, New Mexico, The CW’s reboot of the Roswell TV series that ran from 1999 to 2002, is heading into its fourth season – which means it has already lasted for more seasons than its predecessor, although the original Roswell still has a higher episode count at this point. It was just announced that Zoe Cipres (Grown-ish) and Andrew Lees (The Originals) are joining the cast of Roswell, New Mexico to play the recurring roles of Bonnie and Clyde in season 4.

Fitting to their names, Cipres and Lees’ Bonnie and Clyde are bank robbers. Clyde is described as “part of a duo of thieves robbing Roswell’s banks, determined to steal back what’s rightfully theirs. He is a man with deeply held beliefs, fighting to keep his family on the right path — and sees a potential ally in Michael (Michael Vlamis).” Bonnie is “the other half of the duo of thieves who roll into town to hit up a few of Roswell’s banks, determined to take what they believe to be rightfully theirs. Despite her impulsive nature, Bonnie is a caring, voraciously curious woman, struggling to find her place on this Earth – something Michael Guerin can relate to.”

A collaboration between Amblin TV, Bender Brown Prods, Warner Bros. TV, and CBS Studios., Roswell, New Mexico is based on the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz. The show has the following set-up:

After returning to her hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers her teenage crush is an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life.

The show stars Jeanine Mason, Nathan Dean Parsons, Lily Cowles, Tyler Blackburn, Heather Hemmens, Michael Trevino, Amber Midthunder, Carlos Compean, Rosa Arredondo, and the aforementioned Michael Vlamis.

I did not watch the TV series Roswell back when it was originally airing, and only recently started watching it with friends. I enjoyed the first season, but midway through season 2 things are not going well. Once I’m done watching the old show, I’ll probably check out Roswell, New Mexico.
