Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke are set to co-star in an upcoming movie, news that’s bound to leave The Arrow pitching a tent. Statham and Rourke will team up for 13, a remake of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize winning French film 13 TZAMETI. The film follows a man who steals a mysterious package that contains instructions on how to collect a fortune. When the man follows the instructions he finds himself in for more than he bargained for. Gela Babluani, who directed the original French film, will direct the Amerianized remake (for those worried about the “Americanization,” Babluani wrote the remake script himself) for Paramount Vantage. Also joining Statham and Rourke in the cast are Sam Riley (CONTROL) and 50 Cent, the latter of which doesn’t fill me with much confidence. Filming on 13 is scheduled to begin on November 17th in New York City.
