Think you’ve heard it all? You haven’t. Not until you’ve heard the tale of an angry tire that kills people. Kills them, not by running them over, but using telekinesis. Yessir, this looks to be a doozy.

The film is called RUBBER, and it will be premiering at the Cannes Film Festival’s International Critic’s Week competition (La Semaine de la Critique) in a few weeks. To the right you can see the nifty teaser poster, and below you can take a look at the teaser trailer, which ends… with a bang. If David Lynch made a movie about a murderous tire, this is what it would look like.

If you require a synopsis, here goes (via the film’s Facebook page): Rubber is the story of a tire named Robert who, after discovering a pile of burning tires, decides to avenge his people by blowing up people’s heads … like tires.

I just love that the tire’s name is “Robert”.

The film has a cast, too. Not just Robert the Tire. Stephen Spinella, Roxane Mesquida, Jack Plotnick, Wings Hauser, Ethan Cohn, and Charley Koontz all star in this oddity, which was directed by French music producer Quentin Dupieux.
