You all know the words to Inner Circle's "Bad Boys," or at the very least that part of the song which you just repeat over and over. It was the theme song for Fox's COPS all those years and impossible to avoid over the course of your entire life.
Well, you'd better get used to it as COPS is making a return. Oh, don't worry… It won't be clogging up your television. It's going to the big screen. ZOMBIELAND director Ruben Fleischer is now attached to direct an adaptation of sorts, written by Cameron Fay, with the idea being to turn COPS into "an edgy narrative feature with a buddy comedy bent."
Don't ask me how anyone gets any of that out of watching an episode of COPS, but I suppose it's better than watching legitimate actors playing law enforcement as take down naked white trash repeatedly for two hours… although you have to believe James Franco is foaming at the mouth for the chance to be one of those perps.
