Rudd, Segal in Love

JoBloJoBlo

Paul Rudd and fellow Apatowian Jason Segel have signed on to star in the upcoming DreamWorks comedy I LOVE YOU, MAN. The film follows a guy who’s about to get married and resorts to actively recruiting a friend to be his best man. John Hamburg, who wrote MEET THE PARENTS and directed ALONG CAME POLLY, will direct the film based on a script he wrote. Comedy legend Ivan Reitman is producing for the studio. Rudd and Segel both starred in KNOCKED UP and will appear together again in next summer’s FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL. They now team with Hamburg, a protege of Ben Stiller who got his start working with Judd Apatow. The lesson in all of this: it all comes back to the Apatow. Rudd has a cameo role in WALK HARD and is currently filming LITTLE BIG MEN with Seann William Scott. Segel stars in “How I Met Your Mother” for CBS. Filming on I LOVE YOU is scheduled to begin in March.
