Ruffalo Is Delicious

JoBloJoBlo

Mel Gibson, George Clooney and Clint Eastwood are members of an exclusive club. Not only can they act in a film, but they can direct the hell out of one too. The amount of respect I have for guys like that is just simply through the roof.

It worries me then, when an actor I admire, attempts to leave the confines of the frame, and sit in the potentially perilous director’s chair. Even more so when they try to do both at the same time. Next on that list is Mark Ruffalo, an actor who has done only solid work in my opinion, and is widely considered to be one of Hollywood’s best and brightest. The film is called SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS and the plot is highly, highly…out there. Chris Thornton, who wrote the script, plays “Delicious” Dean O’Dwyer, a paralyzed DJ struggling to survive in his wheelchair on the streets of L.A. After acquiring the ability to cure the sick – he must come to terms with his gift with the help of a Jesuit priest played by Ruffalo. James Franco plays a rock singer in a band that exploits the suddenly famous healer. Um, sure.

Mark my man, by the looks of things you have your work cut out for you. But in all honesty you seem like a pretty intelligent and decent dude so I wish you nothing but the best of luck. In the meantime I, along with the rest of the Ruffalo-heads out there will be keeping our fingers collectively crossed.
