Is your brain OK from yesterday's mind blowing news about Robert Downey Jr. joining CAPTAIN AMERICA 3? Yes? Good, because Badass Digest has some very interesting details on the third movie, as well as AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and AVENGERS 3. Be warned though, there are a few major spoilers below, and since these are only rumors, take them all with a Hulk-sized grain of salt.

We'll start with the next Marvel flick set to hit theaters: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. According to Badass Digest, Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark will leave the Avengers (and possibly retire from being Iron Man) at the end of the movie. The site claims it's because he feels responsible for the things Ultron does in the film. There will also be a new Avengers team revealed towards the end of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, and it'll be Captain America, Falcon, War Machine, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow and possibly Vision.

Moving on to CAPTAIN AMERICA 3, Badass Digest says they've heard the subtitle might be CIVIL WAR or FALLEN SON. Iron Man won't just have a cameo, and Robert Downey Jr. will be shooting 30 to 40 days on the movie. Basically CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 will be AVENGERS 2.5, and it might feature the  new Avengers team from AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, although apparently Black Widow won't have a huge presence. And like CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, the events in the next Cap film will reshape Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

So with all that being said, what'll be going on in AVENGERS 3? They site says at the end of CAPTAIN AMERICA 3, the MCU will be in a "tough, dark place, with the heroes scattered and defeated," and that will continue in AVENGERS 3. With the heroes not in a good place, it'll give Thanos a perfect opportunity to finally attack, which will happen in either AVENGERS 4 or a "big universe-wide team-up movie."

In addition, they are also claiming CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 directors Joe and Anthony Russo are in talks to helm AVENGERS 3, and possibly AVENGERS 4 as well. Marvel is very high on the Russo Brothers right now, and sources say Kevin Feige wants the duo to take over for Joss Whedon.

Although these are just rumors, it's hard not to get excited about Marvel's upcoming movies. These past few years have been fantastic for comic book fans, and I can't wait to learn more about Marvel's plans for their future films.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON opens on May 1, 2015, and CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016.
