Were you wondering what the front of Noah looked like? Well, the second poster for Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic gives you a front-facing view of a drenched Russell Crowe holding an axe as the man of the Ark. I was going to put “full frontal” but that might startle some of you…or intrigue.
I see that several of you were split on the first trailer for the flick. My thing is, Aronofsky always deserves a fair chance. The man has made enough solid flicks that you should just roll with it. If he had directed stuff like SMURFS or A HAUNTED HOUSE, I might tell you to save your hard earned cash on something else. But this isn’t even close. When given the opportunity, Aronofsky crafts the most gorgeous atmospheres. Now stop me if I’m getting too crazy but this flick seems like the closest to mainstream that the director has ever gotten. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that the story of Noah’s Ark has a universal appeal. I mean, it’s a story the majority of us know. But will it have a big payoff for Aronofsky?

Synopsis:
It is a world without hope, a world with no rain and no crops, dominated by warlords and their barbarian hordes. In this cruel world, Noah is a good man. A seasoned fighter, mage and healer who only wants peace for him and his family. Yet every night, Noah is beset by visions of an endless flood, symbolizing the destruction of all life.
