Back at Comic-Con this summer, attendees got to see the special trailer for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR while we all sat here at home and felt like lesser humans. But the time for us all to finally become whole is nearly upon us, as the drop date for the trailer comes closer and closer. We still don’t know a precise date, but Joe Russo and Anthony Russo have just dropped a big, adorable hint for us on social media.
The brothers’ social media account posted a photo today of the number three in a pair of shoes, all but revealing we are three, uh, something, away from seeing the new trailer. We don’t know if it’s three days, weeks, hours or whatever away from the trailer, but all we know this is the number to burn into our brains.
Now, three weeks would set it up to come out around the release of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, which of course would be one hell of a time at the movies. But given the release of the Vanity Fair spread, the leak of some footage from the movie/trailer (which we did not post), and the fact past Marvel teasers/trailer have dropped around this specific time leads us to believe we could see the trailer in a matter of days. We could be wrong, but no matter what we’re on Threat Level Code Red Deaf-Con 11 until said footage is in our grasp.
I can't say for sure I will be less excited about the birth of my future children than I've been for the release of this trailer, but at this point, it's a pretty fair statement. Just the descriptions of the footage coming out of got me all jazzed up, and though I think this new footage will be different from what Con goers saw, there's no way it's not going to be an epic two minutes.
