Deadpool Crashes the MCU Panel
In typical Marvel fashion, some cameos would surprise fans during the studio’s Comic-Con panel at Hall H. Ryan Reynolds showed up in the audience, dressed in a denim Deadpool costume, or “Jeanpool,” to ask some questions. First, he wonders where Thor is and why he was crying in Deadpool & Wolverine. Paul Rudd responded, joking, “Maybe he’s a Wrexhem fan.“
Next, he asked when the film would start shooting, only to be told that it was already in the can. “I see…so, no additional photography?” However, co-director Anthony Russo said, “We keep making the movie until they pry it out of our hands.”
Reynolds Thanks Deadpool Fans
It truly has been an amazing journey to see Wade Wilson portrayed controversially in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, to having Reynolds manifest a real Deadpool film, then seeing him enter into the official MCU. Reynolds himself has always seemed so grateful about it and after he made his surprise appearance at the MCU panel, he posted a video on social media that showcases his undercover mingling with the fans on the Comic-Con floor. According to Deadline, his video post included a heartfelt message to the fans that read, “The fans got Deadpool off the ground so many years ago. Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly 2 years after Deadpool & Wolverine, I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world.”
The video is set to Green Day’s “Good Riddance,” much like the montage at the end of Deadpool & Wolverine. Check it out below.

This appearance also comes days after Reynolds revealed that there will be more Deadpool stories to tell. The star appeared at Fanatics Fest 2026 and told a crowd there, “There’s a few really deep cuts that I think are missing behind the movies. I think there’s a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics. There’s certainly some stuff that, you know, I love that Fabian Nicieza [co-creator of Deadpool] wrote that is incredible. Gerry Duggan, who was a friend, was an incredible comic writer. There’s stuff upcoming. There’s eventually, you know, remotely another Deadpool film. It’s going to be great.”
