Nope, this ain’t a tabloid piece…

You happen to recall an article we wrote about two months ago…one regarding a film called SKINNY DIP, a Danny Trejo starring revenge picture being produced by Trejo’s son Gilbert? No, we’ll here’s a casting tidbit that’s guaranteed to keep this sucker on your…ahem…brain!

According to Production Weekly’s Twitter feed, adult superstar and crossover actress Sasha Grey has been chosen to play the female lead in SKINNY DIP. She joins Trejo, Eric Roberts and possibly Michelle Rodriguez. The film will be directed by Frankie Latina (MODUS OPERANDI). Here’s the official release:

@SashaGrey will now play the lead in Frankie Latina’s “Skinny Dip”, joining Danny Trejo & Eric Roberts, filming in Colombia begins Nov 29.

In case you missed out first article, here’s how the flick shapes up:

Trejo is in line to star in a new indie flick called SKINNY DIP, a revenge picture to be produced and likely directed by his own son, Gilbert. Word is Trejo’s MACHETE co-star Michelle Rodriguez is also set to join the production, which centers on a young woman who kills a policeman.

No word if Gilbert Trejo will co-direct with Latina (as previously reported), but it seems Grey has snatched (pun?) the lead from Michelle Rodriguez. Makes sense, Grey’s 10 years younger.

Of course, this isn’t the first mainstream attempt for Grey, who’s been steadily crossing over since SMASH CUT Soderbergh’s THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE (she also played herself in this past season of “Entourage” as Vinnie Chase’s lady).

But let’s hear from you, the masses. You think Grey has enough acting chops to keep with mainstream cinema? I do. Shite, if Paris, Lohan and those other no talent hacks can find work, why not Grey?
