Buried at the end of a Variety article tracking the unlikely rise of Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton from reality TV faux filmmakers – their satirical horror script FEAST won the “Project Greenlight” contest – to official SAW franchise scribes, is this little nugget: “As for their next steps, the duo’s already working on a “Saw VII” script.”
That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, for those of you who thought SAW VI would be the end of the franchise, bad news, it’s not. The SAW franchise will outlive us all. It’s basically Skynet. There’s no stopping it.
The sixth round of torture traps will be available for public consumption on October 23rd.
