Scarlett lesbian scene?

For one of the greatest directors of all time, Woody Allen sure is having a rough time staying relevant. His most recent film, CASSANDRA’s DREAM, starring two of the biggest stars out there, was in and out of theatres with not so much as a whimper. It didn’t do too hotly with critics either. Today though, people are buzzing about his next move VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA (great title), not because they read the script and it’s classic Allen, but because there’s talk of a risqué lesbian scene between it’s two female stars, Lily Tomlin Whoopi Goldberg. And when I say Tomlin and Goldberg, I mean Johansson and Cruz, as in Scarlett and Penelope.

Unless the ladies are getting naked—and I’m talking to you SJ—then I don’t see what all the fuss is about, really. A source tells New York gossip rag Page Six that “it is also extremely erotic. People will be blown away and even shocked. Penelope and Scarlett go at it in a red-tinted photography dark room, and it will leave the audience gasping.” Is that source someone in the Allen camp trying to drum up publicity for the film, or is this really something I’m going to want to think about when no one’s home? There’s also apparently a threesome between the two women and Javier Bardem, who plays Cruz’s husband in the film. There’s no official release date yet, but you can expect it sometime this fall. Until then, I guess we’ll have to make do with Denise and Neve.
