Two Van Damme stories, now two on Arnold? Looking like action Thursday ’round here!

I’ll take it. First up is an official set photo from TEN, David Ayer’s action-thriller about a throng of Drug Enforcement Agents getting picked off one by one. Arnie’s got the slick coif, the tats, the mean mug…dude means business!

Synopsis: A testosterone-heavy riff on Agatha Christie’s “Ten Little Indians,” the film follows an elite DEA task force that robs a dangerous drug cartel under the guise of a tactical raid on one of its safe houses. They think they’ve gotten away with millions in merch, until team members begin getting bumped off one by one.

But the bigger news of the day goes to Universal, who is intent on putting Schwarzenegger back into the CONAN cloth. Deadline claims the studio has setup THE LEGEND OF CONAN, which will continue the story of the mythic barbarian Arnold made famous in the 80s. Who’s pumped?

No plot details were given for LEGEND OF CONAN, but we know Fredrik Malmberg (Paradox Ent) and Chris Morgan (Universal) will produce. Morgan hatched the story for the film and may pen the script, having experience with WANTED and 47 RONIN. Thing is, Universal wants the flick delivered by summer of 2014, which immediately puts a ticking clock scenario on the production. Could prove detrimental.

Untold in all this is the fact Arnold is 65 this year. Short of CGI muscles, I can’t really see a sexagenarian can credibly playing an ass kicking warrior. I mean, even Liam Neeson keeps his shirt on in the TAKEN films. Know what I’m saying?!

What are your thoughts? You down for another Arnie CONAN flick, or is this just another sad attempt to recapture past glory?
