Holy hell, I wasn’t expecting this from SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Back when it was known as BOY SCOUTS VS ZOMBIES, I thought this horror-comedy from Christopher Landon (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES) was going to be lame-o. Having seen the red-band trailer for the fall release, I’m forced to admit I was too quick to judge. This thing looks like a blast!
Here’s the plot:
Three scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one badass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes. When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.
Tye Sheridan, David Koechner, Cloris Leachman, Halston Sage, Logan Miller, Joey Morgan, and Sarah Dumont all star in SCOUTS, which opens on October 30th. Seems like a genuine Halloween treat!
