Constipated. Stoned. Fed up. Vain. Nondescript. Happy. This seems to be the gamut of emotions displayed from the various characters on the new international, possibly fan-made SCREAM 4 poster. Go ahead and guess which belongs to whom…
In theaters three weeks from tomorrow (April 15), it’s still kind of surreal to think another SCREAM joint, a franchise if all proves well, is back in the mix. As much as I’d truly love to see part 4 reinvigorate an all but moribund franchise the way SCREAM did back in 1996, I have a hard time believing that’ll be the case. Hopefully Kevin Williamson wrote a solid enough script that Wes couldn’t f*ck up if he tried, and I’d be happy to be proved wrong if that happens. But I just don’t see it.
SCREAM 4 continues to chronicle:
Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox (below), Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Marielle Jaffe, Rory Culkin, Erik Knudsen, Marley Shelton, Anthony Anderson, Adam Brody, Alison Brie, Mary McDonnell, Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell all appear in the movie.
