Sean Bean is fictional royalty in Snow White

He may no longer be the King’s Hand or hold Lordship over the House of Stark on HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, but Sean Bean is getting a royal upgrade.

The actor will be crowned with the title of King in Relativity’s SNOW WHITE project, which is currently shooting with director Tarsem Singh (THE CELL, IMMORTALS).

Bean will play the father of Snow White herself, and must contend with his kingdom being destroyed by the Evil Queen portrayed by Julia Roberts (perhaps the realm is gnawed to a nub by her unholy chompers).

The Grimm update features Lily Collins as Snow and Armie Hammer as the Prince. This one is due in theaters March 16th, beating the competing action variation SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, arriving June 1st.

Will it be yet another sample for Bean to add to his already impressive collection of on-screen deaths?
