Sean Penn might be an enormous hard on that is probably less fun to be around than The Predator, but I’m still a fan. Particularly since it’s possible that his old ass is banging Natalie freaking Portman.
Anyway, it appears that he is in talks to star in THIS MUST BE THE PLACE for director Paolo Sorrentino (IL DIVO), making his English-language debut. The film is about a retired rocker who gets bored and so decides to go out and hunt down his father’s executioner, an ex-Nazi war criminal hiding in the US.
Hopefully Penn won’t be morose-imus maximus in this thing because I’d love to see him do something else.. But I wouldn’t bet against it. I mean we’ve got a murdered father and war crimes. You’d have more hope finding comedy in a Friedberg and Seltzer movie. Aha! Zing!
