Another Nic Cage movie, another movie where all I can look at is the guy’s hair. And SEASON OF THE WITCH is no different. Hungarian site Moziplussz scored the first couple of images from Cage’s latest flick, images featuring both Cage and co-star Ron Perlman.
I can’t tell if they’re behind-the-scene shots or actual stills from the film, but I’m thinking they’re BTS. I don’t know why… but I’m feeling the zoom on these flicks like it’s nobody’s business, which generally means they’re not ‘official.’
The two are looking pretty medieval (Perlman’s wardrobe echoing his stunt as Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), and Cage’s hair is looking full. Actually, it looks better than most hair pieces the guy has worn for the big screen lately, although it still looks kind of goofy. Maybe he should bust a Bruce Willis and go completely bald? I don’t know if that’d help but it’s worth a try…
In a nutshell, SEASON OF THE WITCH goes like this As the Black Plague rages across 14th century Europe, one brave knight Lavey, is tasked with transporting a girl suspected of being the witch who caused the pandemic to trial. Believing she is wrongly accused, Lavey and a group of wary followers fight through a mystical and treacherous landscape to a hallowed place where her innocence can be proved and Europe’s curse can be lifted. Unbeknownst to Lavey, even darker forces await them…
