Sedgwick and Donovan join Monroe and Skarsgard in Villains

A couple weeks ago, we learned that Maika Monroe and Pennywise himself Bill Skarsgard will be starring in the darkly comedic home invasion thriller VILLAINS, which is coming to us from the writing/directing duo of Dan Berk and Robert Olsen.

Berk and Olsen's story centers on

a pair of amateur criminals who, after breaking into a suburban home, stumble upon a dark secret and two sadistic homeowners who will do anything to keep it from getting out.

Well, you need two pairs of actors to bring that story to the screen, and now that VILLAINS has begun filming in New York the casting of another pair of actors has been announced.

Monroe and Skarsgard have been joined in the cast by Kyra Sedgwick (pictured above) and Jeffrey Donovan. With these four players in place, it seems safe to assume that Monroe and Skarsgard will be playing the amateur criminals, with Sedgwick and Donovan as the sadistic homeowners… but I could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see.

Regardless of who they're playing, VILLAINS has a very solid cast in place, and I look forward to seeing this bunch interact with each other.

The film is being produced by Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum, and Garrick Dion. Aaron L. Gilbert, Jason Cloth, Chadd Harbold, and Per Melita serve as executive producers, with Rick Rickertsen and Mary Solomon co-producing.
