At long f*cking last, I’ve seen THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, and you can too, if you have FEARnet. That’s right: completely under the radar, the OnDemand channel has been hosting the long-delayed Clive Barker flick since October 1st. Don’t believe me? Check out FEARnet’s announcement!
So was it worth the wait? I guess I’d have to say yes. It’s not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a f*cking crazy one, and that’s always well appreciated around here. There are some truly memorable moments throughout, as well as a few really good performances (Bradley Cooper is very serviceable as the unhinged hero, and Vinnie Jones is one menacing motherf*cker in a largely silent role). There are also some incredibly stupid plotholes and “are you kidding me?” decisions made by the principals, but the movie takes pride in its ridiculousness, so the shaky script doesn’t really hurt the viewing. (That said, this is one of those horror movies where the lead characters have obviously never seen a horror movie.)
If you’re able to check out the flick, how about coming on back here to share your thoughts? I think most will be pleased with the ghastly experience!
Leslie Bibb is also very enjoyable! In the movie- her performance, I mean…
