Seeing is deceiving in the new trailer for Hulu’s The Act

Hulu has released the official trailer and key art for the upcoming limited series THE ACT starring Patricia Arquette (TRUE ROMANCE, BOYHOOD) and Joey King (THE KISSING BOOTH, WHITE HOUSE DOWN)Presented as a seasonal anthology series, THE ACT tells startling, stranger-than-fiction true crime stories. Season One follows Gypsy Blanchard (Joey King), a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother, Dee Dee (Patricia Arquette). Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder. Chloë Sevigny (BOYS DON'T CRY), Anna Sophia Robb (SOUL SURFER, THE WAY WAY BACK) and Calum Worthy (BODIED) also star.

The Act, Hulu, Joey King

Nick Antosca and Michelle Dean co-created the series based on Dean's original Buzzfeed article and serve as executive producers alongside Greg Shephard and Britton Rizzio. THE ACT is produced by Universal Content Productions.

When THE ACT arrives on Hulu, subscribers will be thrust into the lives of cunning criminals, delightfully dark delinquints, and victims of murders most foul. The first display of deranged storytelling is set to begin on Hulu come March 20th with the release of THE ACT.
