Selma Blair joins Nicolas Cage to play a killer couple in Mom and Dad

We learned back in February that Nicolas Cage would be re-teaming with GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE director Brian Taylor for the horror film MOM AND DAD, so we've known for a few months who will be playing the "dad" of the title. We've been in need of a mom, and now we know who she's going to be.

Tracking-Board hears that Selma Blair has signed on to play Cage's significant other.

Taylor will be directing the film from a screenplay he wrote himself about

a teenage girl and her little brother, who must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.

Cage and Blair turning into a couple of violent maniacs? Sounds like a recipe for success to me.

MOM AND DAD is being produced by Tim Zajaros and Christopher Lemole of Armomy Films. Jere Hausfater of Aldamisa International is executive producing, as is Zajaros and Lemole's Zeal Media Co. partner Cassian Elwes.

MOM AND DAD is set to begin filming in Kentucky in July. XYZ Films will be distributing.
