Sentinel creators Trask Industries will appear in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: DOFP

One of the things that has excited me the most about X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST was the casting of Peter Dinklage. It has been rumored that Dinklage will be playing Bolivar Trask (the creator of the anti-mutant Sentinel robots) and in a tweet yesterday from Bryan Singer the director confirmed that Trask Industries will be in the movie.

While this doesn't officially confirm Peter Dinklage's role in the film it does mean that Trask Industries does make an appearance. Combined with another tweet from Singer recently of Dinklage with a sweet 70's 'stache though and it does seem likely the Game of Thrones star will be playing Bolivar Trask in the film.

Also in the comics, Trask had a mutant son named Larry who could see into the future and Trask would use Larry's power of precognition to see and record his son's predictions on mutants in the future. In fact it was Larry who predicted that there would be an assassination attempt on Senator Robert Kelly, a very important event from the "Days of Future Past". So pretty much all signs are pointing towards Peter Dinklage playing Bolivar Trask.

Although I'm not too pleased with some of the recent news coming from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST I'm very interested in seeing how Singer fits this many pieces together. X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST could end up being a giant mess but I'd still like to think there's a chance Bryan Singer knows exactley what he's doing with this film and could surprise a lot of people.

Also starring Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry and Evan Peters, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will attempt to save the future on July 18th, 2014.
