Set pics surface for Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns featuring Emily Blunt

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As I've said before, I'm more than a bit iffy about this new MARY POPPIN RETURNS film on principle, but can't deny that I've liked everything I've seen so far of it. Emily Blunt looks great, and I like that it's bringing in characters from P.L. Travers' other books (like Angela Lansbury as The Balloon Lady). Hell, even Dick Van Dyke is coming back! As a different character, of course, but still! That's cool!

Anyway, here are some new set pics from the recent shoot in London. Let's have a look, shall we:

Looks like they're all being attacked by a roving gang of bike bandits. I mean, that's probably not the case, but I like the idea of Mary Poppin throwing down. Would definitely differentiate it from the original at least. Alas, I assume it's probably an elaborate musical number, which is fine as well I suppose. But a man can dream…

Either way, MARY POPPINS RETURNS will float on a flying umbrella to theaters Christmas 2018.
